Past and Present
Our roots in the Tibetan tradition
Lama Zopa Rinpoche
As a young child he was recognized as the reincarnation of a famous yogi of the area. In the Tibetan refugee camp in Buxa Duar/India he met Lama Thubten Yeshe who became his main teacher.
Lama Yeshe was the founder of the Foundation of the Preservation of Mahayana Tradition, which was later led by Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche and which now comprises about 140 centres and activities all over the world.
Rinpoche left his body in April 2023.
Kensur Ciampa Tegchok

Kensur Ciampa Tegchok, born in 1931, was a Geshe Lharampa.
He was one of the most recognized teachers at the Sera Je monastic university in South India where he was abbot for 8 years.

From July 2008 for a year and a half he was the resident lama at the Kushi Ling Center.

Lama Ciampa Monlam
Born in Tibet in Lhasa in 1926, he was a master of rituals and a meditator.
He entered the Gelugpa Monastery of Tsecholing in Lhasa as a child, receiving training as a ‘master of ceremony’.
He was in Lhasa when the Chinese invaders bombed the Potala. He remained there for a few years disguised as a layman, then took refuge first in Dharamsala and then in Nepal.
At the age of 49, he decided to live as a yogi: he did retreats and meditations, dedicating his life to others. Since then, he has lived in Pharping.
He came to Italy for the first time in 2002 and gave teachings in various FMPT centers.
In 2018, Lama Ciampa Monlam left his body.
